Get NZ writing metaphor poems

TLC Metaphor poem

We are fish and chips because when we come together we are all great.
We are broccoli because we are good and healthy.
We are spaghetti because we are all mixed up together.
We are breakfast because we are ready to start the day.
We are an icecream; super sweet.
We are breakfast cereal because there are lots of us all together.
We are a hamburger, we are all squished together.
We are camo clothing, we are great at hiding and love being outside.

We are a pair of high heels because we stand tall.
We are a jumpsuit because we like having fun.
We are plain clothes; we are ready for anything.
We are a rainbow t-shirt, we are bright, funky and cool.
We are a jacket, we fit together.
We are wool to knit our ideas together.

We are concrete, we mix together.
We are a library; we are making history.

We are the sky tower standing strong and tall.
We are a radio because sometimes we are loud!
We are a bee hive because we live in colonies.
The class is a hospital because we care for each other.
We are a university because we learn fast.
We are a skyscraper because we want our learning to reach the limits.

We are a run down car that doesn’t want to work; it’s tired.
We are monster trucks because we are crazy sometimes.
We are a silver fern, pretty with lots of parts.
TLC is a bus; it fits lots of people.
The class is a face car because we’re fast.
We are a native tree, we belong here.
We are a horse and carriage; we are slow at what we are supposed to do sometimes.
Our class is a bendy bus; we are up and down and a little bit weird.
We are a boom box; loud, noisy and sometimes crazy.
We are a kahikatea tree because we stretch our minds.
