TLC Metaphor poem
We are fish and chips because
when we come together we are all great.
We are broccoli because we are
good and healthy.
We are spaghetti because we are
all mixed up together.
We are breakfast because we are
ready to start the day.
We are an icecream; super sweet.
We are breakfast cereal because
there are lots of us all together.
We are a hamburger, we are all
squished together.
We are camo clothing, we are
great at hiding and love being outside.
We are a pair of high heels
because we stand tall.
We are a jumpsuit because we
like having fun.
We are plain clothes; we are
ready for anything.
We are a rainbow t-shirt, we are
bright, funky and cool.
We are a jacket, we fit
together.
We are wool to knit our ideas
together.
We are concrete, we mix
together.
We are a library; we are making
history.
We are the sky tower standing
strong and tall.
We are a radio because sometimes
we are loud!
We are a bee hive because we
live in colonies.
The class is a hospital because
we care for each other.
We are a university because we
learn fast.
We are a skyscraper because we
want our learning to reach the limits.
We are a run down car that
doesn’t want to work; it’s tired.
We are monster trucks because we
are crazy sometimes.
We are a silver fern, pretty
with lots of parts.
TLC is a bus; it fits lots of
people.
The class is a face car because
we’re fast.
We are a native tree, we belong
here.
We are a horse and carriage; we
are slow at what we are supposed to do sometimes.
Our class is a bendy bus; we are
up and down and a little bit weird.
We are a boom box; loud, noisy
and sometimes crazy.
We are a kahikatea tree because
we stretch our minds.
