Emma's Speech

I think everyone should get a pony because I believe they are the best animal.  They are such fun to ride, they are a friend for life, you get super fit riding a horse.

Firstly they love it when you spend time with them,  riding confidently and grooming them. If you ride a horse I promise it will be fun and you will be able to ride other people's horses too. When you ride the horse for a long time you can take the saddle off and ride bear back to warm up your bottom.  Its great fun riding bare back.

Secondly they are cute and cuddly teddy bears. They make really good friends for life. You will never get lonely if you're with them and sometimes they can be cheeky by nibbling your arm with their lips, scrape their head on you and lift their top lip up. My horse is my best friend.

Last of all you can get fit and so can the horse. Did you know that?  You really can. One way to get fit is by rising to the trot, when they canter and gallop. Did you know riding for an hour burns off 650 calories? When they are sweating that means they have been getting fit and that’s the same for humans too!

In conclusion I love horses and I believe that everyone should own a horse.  They will be your best friend, they will help you get super fit and they are fun to ride.

The  men are going to war. I'm at war with all of the Turks. We are fighting the ANZACS. I am staying in a tent with two of my friends, Amy and Keryn. We are excited.

Nana and Popa go to Picton

my ald nana and  popa  are on a tran .going to pitin  my dad had to get  up  ely  to pik old nana and popa up . my  dad  rery rery had to get up ely

My old nana and popa are on a train to Picton. My dad had to get up early to pick up old nana and popa. My Dad had to get up really, really early because he had to go to work at the council. He even has to get up early for work, thats why he has to early, like really really early. Poor Dad has to get up early but the next door neighbours are going in holiday too, so they asked nana and popa to do their rubbish bins but they are on a train going to Picton, so my big brother Josh and me have to help Mum and Dad with the rubbish bins.

In the holidays I went to the bike park and I did a big big jump. When I did the big big bump, there was a big big hill, I did not go on the big hill but my big brother Josh went with me because I was scared, but I did it.

I dreamt about a little boy who went up to the moon. He met an alien. The alien had no petrol, so the little boy got back down from the moon back to his home. He got a ladder that was the end of that.

The Leaf Boats

Today the Hairy Maclarys read the story The Leaf Boats. We went outside and found some big leaves. Then we curled the stem of the leaf to make leaf boats. We tried to float them in the river but they SANK!
