Our school is a full primary in a rural area just outside Christchurch.
We are an enthusiastic learning community of Year 3-5 children and two teachers, Ali and Jo.

Elk


ELK

Facts:
 1. They shed their antlers

2. Elk/Wapiti is a Shawnee word meaning white rump

3. Their Antlers have blood in them that help them grow 1 inch per day

Diet:
Grass,leaves and bark.

Habitat:
They are native to Eastern Asia and North America.

Predators:
Wolf
Coyote
Wild dog
