Laurie's Persuasive Speech

I think everyone should tramp.
Why?
Firstly, you get back to nature. Isn’t it lovely being out in the fresh air, playing in the rivers, climbing the mountains and staying in huts. Seeing our beautiful country at its best!
Secondly, you get fit. Being fit is great, isn’t it?   You get to places quicker, don’t you?
Everyone wants to know how to light a fire, don’t they? I didn’t even mention what other survival skills tramping teaches you like: putting up a shelter, reading a map, using a compass, and cooking on a fire. These skills are really important, people!
And here’s something you might not know: you can use a tree as a compass!
Those are some of the reasons why I love tramping. Because you learn survival skills, get fit, and get back to nature.
Let’s hope you go out tramping someday!
